I’m now living in Chaloklum, Ko Phagnan, Thailand. It reminds me of Stinson Beach/Bolinas CA. I’m shooting this from our Mt. Tam, the highest mountain on the island, named after me, Mt. Khao Ra (Ravi, Sun). The highest peak on Koh Phangan, Khao Ra stands at 630m and offers a fantastic viewpoint overlooking Chaloklum and Thong Nai Pan for those willing to climb to the top. On a good day with clear visibility you can see Koh Tao.
Miracles Update:
Yesterday our 11/24 in Thailand I decided to visit two plant nurseries I saw the other day on a road I go all the time and had never seen before, like they just appeared overnight. But I remembered a plant nursery Saibaitao I had seen on facebook but never went to so I decided I’ll go there first. Google says it’s just a km up the road. I went and bought a bunch of plants to dress up the house entrance. When I went inside to pay, a voice inside said look over here, the statue said ‘take me home, just pay for it with Maharaji’s money’. It’s ‘Our Lady Queen of Angels’.

This plant had no flowers when I met with the owner to sign the contract, it bloomed the day I moved in.
Just saved 100,000 baht. I was going to buy another Hobie Mirage pedal kayak since I live on the beach. But first I bought an inflatable paddleboard for under 10,000 baht to play around. When I was putting away the cartons I noticed a photo of something called a ‘kayak seat’. WTF is that. Now I have a paddleboard/kayak. You could too if you get off your asses and move to Thailand.
The other Miracle: I was practically dying the last few weeks, especially since I had done all this on my own as Fern was in Isaan taking care of her cancer problem. Moving and taking care of three houses nearly wiped me out. So I went to the local government hospital. They suggested a CT scan (fuckin horrible experience). So the results said I will probably die any time from liver cirrhosis, diverticulosis or vesicular and ureteric stones, maybe bronchiectasis (bad COPD/TB), throw in also prostate cancer (horrible pain and uncontrolled urination) . Not to mention I’m 81 soon, so how long can it be. The doctor said make sure you file a ‘living will’. But Maharaji and the Holy Mother want me to do things so I can’t leave this wretched body.
Even my teacher Ram Dass had to hang out for ten more painful years in a wheelchair, imagine, and Maharaji just watched it go by. Shivapuri Baba lived until 137 in Kathmandu, OMG.
Stokely died of prostate cancer in NYC.
Not that good, he died.
And my third ‘best friend’ Ginsberg continued to write through his final illness, with his last poem, "Things I'll Not Do (Nostalgias)", written on March 30. He died on April 5, 1997, surrounded by family and friends in his East Village loft in Manhattan, succumbing to liver cancer via complications of hepatitis at the age of 70 (same I have maybe).
Jesus luckily went out in a puff.
Life as we live it updates:
My bedroom puja table. She blesses all my medicines underneath.
House puja temple. Hope you have something similar in your home for protection. Buy flowers, light incense.
The ‘Maharaji’ mobile. He bought the car, it’s his. Now everyone on Koh Phangan will have to have his darshan whether they like it or not. Temple and Retreat Center hasn’t officially opened yet. I offered it to subscribers but no one replied so I am going to open it up to island yogis. Yikes. There is an unbelievable print shop on the island that does these laminated color prints for $1.
This is the serene temple in the jungle/mountain Maharaji said to make. Never ask Thais how they build things in the most impossible places with modern fixtures. Two AC bedrooms, hot shower, TOT fibre Internet system (took a week of negotiation to get it put in), full kitchen, government electric for the rent of one pizza dinner in USA.
Temple puja entrance, still being finished. Who is Shivapuri Baba, get off your ass and buy his book on Amazon.
Oh yeah, me, still alive with all my hair. Beautiful Chinese temple in the village. Now 12 years in Thailand
